The Plainedge School District is currently looking to employ a Fitness Cleaner for our new Fitness Center. The Center is located in Plainedge High School and the hours are Monday – Thursday 3 PM to 11 PM and Sunday 8 AM to 4 PM. Responsibilities include cleaning of the Fitness Center, including glass, metal, carpets, rubber floors, equipment, stairs, rails and all surfaces. They will also be responsible for one restroom and the replenishment of supplies for the restroom and dispensers (Sanitizer, paper towels etc.) throughout the facility. The person will be responsible for assisting the Fitness staff as requested as well as the Facilities department throughout the High School as necessary. Sunday hours are to be year-round, including summer.
Prior cleaning experience preferably in a gym or home cleaning environment; positive attitude and good people skills. Candidates should be self-motivated and proactive. The space needs to be cleaned as a class A space with an eye to ensure that we are protecting staff, students and all other users against MRSA and other infectious diseases using approved cleaning supplies.
