Job Description

The Plainedge School District seeks qualified candidates to fill a leave replacement position as a Physics Teacher in the High School for the entire 2026-2027 academic year.

Job Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• NYS Physics 7-12 certification
• Knowledge of AP Physics 1 and 2 Curriculum
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
• Ability to design and implement curriculum aligned with New York State and College Board standards
• Ability to integrate lab-based, inquiry-driven activities and ensure proper lab safety protocols
