Job Description

The Director of Guidance is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and implementing of all phases of the counseling program on a district-wide basis. As the K-12 Guidance Director, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being of our students. You will lead a team of guidance counselors and collaborate with teachers, administrators, social workers, nurses, and secretarial staff, and parents to implement comprehensive guidance programs that address the diverse needs of our student body. This position requires a visionary leader who is passionate about supporting students through their educational journey and preparing them for success beyond graduation.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and community members.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in school counseling and guidance.
• Familiarity with student information systems and data analysis tools.

Certification:

• SDA/SDBL
• Masters in School Counseling
